Jacqui Paine joined the team as Clinical Midwife Manager of Te Awakairangi Birthing Centre situated in Lower Hutt, in 2018. She is an experienced midwife having worked in both the UK and New Zealand in a variety of settings, working in large tertiary units as well as several years in LMC practice in Whanganui.
Jacqui’s midwifery philosophy centres on the education and empowerment of women, guiding them to make informed choices throughout their pregnancy and childbirth journey. She has a passion for primary birthing with a focus on quality and, above all, safety of maternity care.
Te Awakairangi Birthing Centre is an opportunity to give women of the region an excellent choice for place of birth in a calm, safe and caring environment and Jacqui looks forward to welcoming women and their whanau to our centre.
Angela has over 20 years administration experience and has a recent background in teaching computer and vocational skills to people re-entering the workforce. She is a proud mother of two grown girls aged 23 and 19.
Angela is looking forward to bringing her customer focus skills to the Birthing Centre, helping in any way she can to make sure she can support your team to make sure that the best care possible is available for you.
She is passionate in making sure that a warm welcoming environment is provided, so that the minute you walk in to the Birthing Centre you feel confident that you have a complete team beside you on your journey.
